CCT resumes its activities in the new year
Centre for Combating Tobacco resumed its activities in the new year of 2021 yesterday, on the 4th of January with the participation of the full and part-time core team members, project team members and interns. Representatives from the CCT volunteer network also attended the event.
CCT has planned a number of important activities and programmes this year, to monitor and counteract tobacco industry interference on public health within the country, as well as in the South Asia region. The Big Tobacco is laying various strategies to regain their sales which were dropped due to the Covid-19 pandemic, most of which are in violation of WHO FCTC, including Article 5.3. Therefore, this will be a challenging, but yet an interesting year for all of us.
